Charity Car Donation: How Do I Donate?
- Check our guidelines on what to donate.
- Fill out a charity CAR DONATION APPLICATION or call our toll-free number at 800-390-7151. Generally, you will be able to speak to a live donor representative about how to donate your car, seven days a week (Pacific Time: Monday through Friday, 5am-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:30am to 4:30pm). Call us anytime and we will call you right back!
- We will send you a couple of forms for your signature when you donate your used car. Those forms and your signed title are the authorization we need to transfer ownership of your vehicle.
- When you donate your car, a qualified transportation company comes at your convenience to pick it up.
- Your receipt will be a formal letter of thanks, certifying that you have donated the item. This letter shows the IRS that you are authorized for a charitable tax deduction. Your tax professional is your best source of information regarding charitable tax deductions.
What Happens to My Donation?
In most all cases donated items are sold by well established vehicle auctions to the highest bidder. In that way delay is minimized and the chance of fraud is eliminated.
It's as simple as that!
